REST STOP I've decided that I wanted to dedicate this blog to videos that I find stunning, relevant, simple, creative, nostalgic and entertaining. I find myself enjoying most of these videos on YouTube and want to showcase them here on my blog as a collection with my thoughts.

House M.D.

A tribute video to House (the series and the man) with the "The Who".

It's well done and I truly enjoy the scenes selected in light of the music and the theme.

Enjoy.

Rediscovering Talent

American Idol has come and gone (for the past Season that is..)

I'm not an avid viewer of this show but I have to say, when I do tune in and something catches my eye - and moves me - I start to monitor the one person who managed to garner that reaction from me.

This time it was David Cook. And no, it wasn't his rendition of Carey's "Always Be My Baby" that did it - it boiled down to a few key performances that displayed his arrangement capability and his voice/angst with a touch of the rock element that I truly enjoy.

A couple of videos of his performances here - two of which are these:

Eddie Izzard - Bilingual

Reason for this video - Well it's Eddie Izzard for starters.

And Secondly because I was in a discussion involving the proper use of the English Language. The challenges faced by people from different countries. More so, it was about when and where the use of British English vs American English was justified.

I had mentioned this material by Izzard and maybe didn't quite hone in on the actual point I was trying to make because I could only remember the "Herbs" example. So this is for me and for anyone else who would enjoy a witty take on the differences that make us all unique in our own manner of speaking...I'm done now.
